i have searched but cannot find how to install snmp on a sme 9.2 server

is there a contrib?

No there isn't a contrib.

I have it installed but can't remember where from - possibly epel.

I'll have a look shortly.

Probably related to his other post on 'glances' I should imagine.

If the OP had a quick search online for say 'centos 6 snmpd' he'd find a wealth of information eg

(6.3 but the principle remains the same)

I can also imagine that the next question will be 'how do I configure and use it' to which the answer is you need to have a really good read online about it.

just forgot that the installation was to do a " yum install net-snmp net-snmp-utils "
