Hernan,
the fix you mentioned is for connecting from a client behind your e-smith server to an external IPSec VPN server.
It sounds like you wish to connect to your e-smith server via VPN. Are you trying to connect using PPTP (eg. from Windows. This is what you have allowed from the Server-Manager panel) or another type of VPN (eg. IPSec - like Nortel's Extranet client)?
The message indicates that there are no spare IPs available. e-smith allocates IPs from 255 (or somewhere around there) down for PPTP connections. Have you either statically or dynamically allocated these elsewhere within your network?
