Mount SME10 Samba shares on a Linux Box
« on: January 06, 2022, 05:12:42 PM »
Just a wee heads up, after upgrading to 10 I couldn't mount any of my SME shares on my Linux Mint box. To get them to mount using 9 I'd had to add
Code: [Select]
vers=1.0 to the options in fstab on the Mint box.

To get it to work using 10 I just removed this.

Apologies if this has been posted before, but I couldn't find it if it has  :-P

Yes that's down to the SMB changes.

Mint would have had Samba 4 with SMB v3 by default so you had to force SMB v1

Now you have v10 you can use SMB v3 which is the v10 default :-)

(And I must remember to do mine !!)
