Topic: Postgresql+Apache on SME

Hello all,
I've installed Postgresql successfully on SME and the database ist running.
I also installed mypgAdmin and get the following error-message:

You do not have postgresql support built into your PHP Web Server.
phpPgAdmin requires postgresql support to function properly!
Please check the PHP documentation for corrective action.

How and where do I activate the postgresql-support for the PHP-Webserver?

You need to install an appropriate php-pgsql RPM.

but I'm really not sure where to have a look.
Is the rpm part of php or is it a part of apache?
Maybe you know a link

I've forgot. I'm running sme 5.5

If you're running 5.5, the php-pgsql RPM is on your CD-ROM.

php-pgsql is installed but still the same error.
PostgreSql-Database itself working fine.

about postgresql in sme 5.5 with apache

the pg mod might not be enabled in /etc/php.ini
check it, there should be a line stating: extension=pgsql.so

also, make/change the template for /etc/php.ini ,  of this is the problem

Hi dan,
I did install postgres but when using the rpm, i get the message failed dependancies :
 postgresql is needed by php-pgsql-4.1.2-2es3
        libpq.so.2   is needed by php-pgsql-4.1.2-2es3

can you point me in the right direction ?
