Topic: samba upgrade fails on 5.1.2

Hi all,

I tried using "How to use e-smith 4.1.2 as a Primary Domain Controller for Windows 2000 clients" HOWTO by Dan Brown and did the removal of samba and this went ok. However, I could not find the rpm he has listed on his site so I went to rpmfind and tried samba-2.2.1a-4.i386.rpm instead. When I did the rpm -Uvh samba-2.2.1a-4.i386.rpm the system just said: The rpm samba-2.2.1a-4.i386.rpm can not be installed and returns to the prompt. I am using e-smith version 5.1.2. I tried a couple of newer versions and this also failed. I am not doing this on a production server (thank God), but I need to figure it out since I am going to be adding Win2K boxes to the network. I'm also getting 5.5, so hopefully that will help (just that the FTP site is so slow).
