problems with DUREP
« on: September 23, 2002, 08:07:05 PM »
Hi,

I have installed " e-smith-durep-1.0.1-3.noarch.rpm " and had it running for a while. But today isn´t working any more, it says the page cannot be found.
I checked primary/cgi-bin (as seen on link) and there is no durep_ibay there!
I have tried to uninstall and reinstall but nothing changed!

Anyone know why it desapear?

This is happening on both versions 5.1.2 and 5.5 !

I think could to be after last update (that one that is manually installed!)

Thanks in advance by your time!

Hi Jáder,

there is no  ibay at all.
The durep reports stored in "/var/www/html/durep"

What update do you installed ?

I use 5.5 with Update 2 and it works fine.

Peter,

Thanks by your answer!
I can find the durep directory and inside it there is files from today at 0:01 so I think engine still working.
But appear that web interface (server-manager) is broken.
How can I verify this?

I have this problem with 2 SME server but not in a third one! All of them allways have same things and last updates. I´m sorry to say I don´t know what update broken it !

Thanks!

Peter,

I think I know why isn´t working!

I don´t have any files on cgi bin directory!

Shouldn´t I to have a durep_ibay and durep_users scripts there?

Thanks!

Hi Jader,

you should have durep_ibay and durep_user in following directorys:
/etc/e-smith/web/functions
and /etc/e-smith/web/panels/manager/cgi-bin

There should be also an entry in /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf:
# DUREP

Alias       /durep /var/www/html/durep

    AllowOverride None
    Options +Indexes
    order deny,allow
    deny from all
    allow from all
    AuthName "e-smith manager"
    AuthType Basic
    AuthExternal pwauth
    require user admin

# DUREP end

And last but not least, a script /usr/sbin/durep.daily

Also check the durep-www directory for an "index.html" file.
If you can´t find it, the durep command results in an error and the 0.html is not copyed to index.html. In this case try to run the durep command directly from the shell (look at /usr/sbin/durep.daily for informations about the parameters) to find out the errors.

Peter,

EVERYTHING appears to be ok. Even the durep.daily run without errors. And
before to run it I verified if it was run by cron, it was. So appears that
just interface is broken.
If I use http:[SERVER_IP]/durep and I can see ibay and users as
directories. If I click over it I got DUREP as it should to work! It´s JUST
the interface! Maybe something I installed (I have installed A LOT of
things... )

Thanks by your help.

Peter,

Do you have any tips WHY just the link from server-manager don´t work?

As I said in previous post if I call [server_ip]/durep/ibay or [server_ip]/durep/users I can get the information!

That´s very strange!
I have tryed to install on a really fresh SME 5.5 (no updates , no nothing!) and it doesn´t work. After updates (blade and rpms, still don´t work!)

Thanks!

Peter,

I just cannot understand! I have touch anything, but now durep is working on same server it refuses to work before!

I just started to put data into personal directories and on ibays... maybe it cannot work without some data!

Could you please verify that?

Thanks!

BTW: I have a request for a QMHANDLE improvment : force start delivery again.  Something that someone called ALARM qmail! What do you think about this?
