Scandinavian alphabets

Hello !
I have been playing around with e-smith 4.0 beta 7 for a while and it really looks very good (include more security into it and it is a killer..ssh...ssl...). My problem is that when I try to create a new user for example me it gives me an error like this: Error: unexpected or missing characters in last name: "Räipiö". Did not create new account.

my last name includes scandinavian alphabets and e-smith does not allow me to use those. Is there a solution for this problem ?
Thanks

Yes, you will just need to find the perl code which checks user names and relax the regular expression just a bit. Just beware of allowing any security problem to creep in that way. There are a few areas of not-quite-right data checking in the e-smith server at the moment, and you have found one of them. Hopefully we will get them all weeded out over time. The whole area of internationalisation needs attention, and will require significant overhaul, I think.  We''ll try to get your problem fixed for the 4.0 release, however.
