Topic: ME password

I am running 5.5 on one PC on a mixed network of two Macs running OS X (10.2) and three Windows boxes running ME.  The 5.5 install is fresh with just an admin password set and one user account with password.
I can log on to both the admin and user accounts from OS X and mount the server admin and user account disks on the Macs with no problems.  BUT when I try to access the PC from ME using My Network, although name of the server appears in  Workgroup, after I click on it to get the password entry field and input password (which I know is correct because the Macs use it OK), the SME server machine returns an error message that the password is incorrect.
Is this a weird oddity with passwords in ME?
Any solutions?

You are logging on to WinMe as admin right? It will use whatever name you logon to the Client for MS Networks with.

Thanks --that was the problem.  The Win ME logon accounts and password were not the same as the admin user account.  Creating three user accounts for each of the three ME boxes with the right passwords fixed it straight away.  Stupidity on my part.
