Topic: mail server permanently rejected message

Hi all,

I have recently installed RAV and have moved my server behind a SmoothWall firewall appliance.  Now I am repeatedly getting the following error messages when people try sending mail:

Hi. This is the qmail-send program at vogelhostinghaus.com.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.

Can anyone tell me what is causing this? I have disabled content and filters and basically turned off all the Anti-Spam features.

The error above is a qmail error. You show that your primary domain name and your e-mail address domain are different.  I suggest you review your virtual domain and qmail configuration for possible errors.

Greetings once again.

Still battling with this Qmail problem.  Ligitimate email traffic is getting rejected for whatever reason.  

The mail server is behind a SmoothWall/Host box.  DNS is configured properly for the firewall and the Mitel box is in SERVER mode only running the local IP scheme.  Ports are open and forwarded properly.
