Hi all,
Two part post:
1st- anyone have either of these two emulators on their e-smith? Freshmeat has a couple, here is one:
http://freshmeat.net/projects/x3270/?topic_id=158
If so, how can I get it to work on Windows??? I thought about using putty (must be secure) or something like it (ssh?) to run it. So basically, the emulator runs on linux, but then I need a way to run it on Windows using putty or ssh. Ok, so I know I can make e-smith allow normal users to connect to it so that takes care of that, but anyone know if I can write a script so as soon as they login it starts the emulator???
Thanks.

If you give me the full path to your 3270 emulator, I'll give you a mini-howto on how to execute the emulator for users when they login using SSH on your E-Smith box.

So it can be done? I don't have a 3270, this question was posed to us by a client of my company that was wondering if he could since he found out the licenses for using RUMBA were going to exceed $6,000 for his small business.
Thanks.
