this tool does not replace the process of making back-ups. It only makes a snapshot of the time it was run, althought not bad to have

Some have nothing or even less ;-/

Isnt that bad? This means that mkcdrec doesnt actually back anything up, just take snapshots of the partition

. Am I wrong?
What would be nice is a program like this, but makes bootable CD's of the actuall system, so that basically I could take those CD's, bung them into a brand new computer with no partitions (clean) and run it and have them put the system back on and have it running as it was.
Is there anything out there like this, except for norton ghost that is, anything especially made for *nix environments?
Thanks
