Hi all E-Smith Fan's..

Is there support for my AMD AM79c970AKC Netcard in EM 4.0b7.??

Is try to compiled AMD's drivers into 3.1, with no luck..

I don't quite understand what you mean in your second sentence - in any case, you shouldn't need to compile any drivers.

Try setting the driver for that ethernet card from the command line. Log in as root, then run the commands:

/sbin/e-smith/config set EthernetDriver1 pcnet32
/sbin/e-smith/signal-event console-save

Reboot and see how that goes.

Just try it, no luck.
Login as root and type.

/sbin/e-smith/config set EthernetDriver1 pcnet32

It sad, command not found

And yes, it's looks like it's a Pcnet32 Card with a AM79c970AKC AMD Chip on.

i need to type,

/sbin/e-smith/./config set EthernetDriver1 pcnet32
/sbin/e-smith/./signal-event console-save

And the NetCard is online, Many Thx for the Help..

I find that hard to believe. Are you sure that you didn't do:

cd /sbin/e-smith
config set EthernetDriver1 pcnet32

and then later

./config set EthernetDriver1 pcnet32

Because that would make sense...

I'm glad that you are up and running. We'll try to get pcnet32 working for the 4.0 release.
