How do I get file attributes to show up on files on the server ?
My backup software under Windows 98 looks at the archive attribute to determine
if the file has been modified and will backup if its set.

I finally figured how to get the DOS archive bit to show when a file gets
modified.  Its related to "map archive=yes" and "create mask" in the smb.conf
file.

p.s. Sorry about the repeated post.  It was not intentional.  I kept pressing send
when the system was not responding.  Eventually it went, but multiple times.
Ooops.

I have another problem.  After backing up from Windows 98 machine, how do I
get the archive bit to reset to off?   I noticed that I cannot even do that manually
thru windows using the property command.
