Topic: vpn: admin only

I succeeded setting up a vpn/pptp connection to the e-smith server. However I only can connect as user admin. Is this because the server has a setup as "private server and gateway"? I wonder whether i have to change the server setup or should check the client-configuration?

What version are you using? With 5.1.2 all users can connect by vpn.

I believe with any version of sme that as soon as you add a user to the system they can VPN in.
You have added users and set passwords for them ?

W're using 5.5 (upgraded from 5.1.2)

Found it, i created a new user and this one connected immediately. After this I did a modify on all passwords of existing users. This solved the case (but why??).
