Topic: i haven't find DNS

HI ervey body.

i have just been trying to setup my e-smith 5.5 .
but i have a question.
when i login our SMESsrver Manager.
i find our DNS server is a blank space .
it is mean that i have't DNS server?
if it is right ,it mean i can't use static ip?
so i must find other DNS in the server.


if i have DNS server in e-smith 5.5 .
what is the server name ?

The SME server is your DNS server.  Don't know why you think that would have an impact on your ability to use a static IP address.

I think i had a wrong in last keyin.

i had a static domain name and static ip.

i can't find our sever in internet.
when i add my domain name in our Network Whois record company,
they tall me need "DNS server name"...
but i can't find my DNS server 's name.


ex:   ns.addy.homeip.net  ...

is it really existence ?
what is it name ?
