Just wondering if anyone knew of an app that would monitor server CPU temp in an IBM e-server running SME 5.5?

Anyone know of any such thing?? Would preferably have html output...

Thanks in advance

surely IBM must supply a hardware monitoring tool with the server support discs? Most manufacturers now supply a host of utils with the server - look for any that support RedHat 7.2 if you're running SME 5.5 - might need tweaking to get it functioning properly.

Many newer motherboards show the cpu and board temps in the bios setup screens.  Of course you will have to reboot to get into bios.  2 of my 3 system in my house have this feature.  The AMD K62 500 runs at about 110F.  The AMD Anthlon 1.6 runs around 123F.  The hottest I have seen the 1.6 at is 128F.

The 500 fan went out and the bios started beeping when the cpu hit 150F...allowing a safe shutdown.  By the time I opened bios to check the temp, it was at 157F....7 degress in a couple of minutes.  I only buy ASUS boards that have this protection since it saved me once.

Hope this helps.
