I have a 5.5U2 Server which has constant problems attaching to Ozemail ADSL PPPOA service and I do not know why. As e-smith 5.5 does not support USB I have used a Dynalink RTA020 router which works superbly with TPG, Telstra, etc. instead of the Ozemail supplied USB Modem.
The modem easily establishes a dsl link and maintains it, but the message log reads 'timeout waiting for PADO' and no connection is established.
If I connect the Router to a W2K box and setup PPPOA it works like a dream but I cannot get it to work on e-smith. The stupid thing about it is that I had it working for over 3 weeks but it fell out of bed this morning and I can't get it to work since, even with another router.
