Sometime after upgrading to 5.5, I could no longer connect to the SME Server via PPTP. I have tested it with 3 servers on 3 different networks and the problem is the same.
I found a reference on the newsgroup that explained that I had to install 128-bit encryption. I already did, without any luck.
As I have said before, it used to work. I have also tried resetting the iPAQ to factory settings, which deletes any applications, settings and changes I could have made.

Hi,
Yes, this is the same error you get if you try to connect ith Win98 without the 128bit encryption update from DUN1.4.
It seems that you are trying to connect without 128bit encryption. I have read that you can set your server back to 40bit encrytion by editing pptp.conf.
