kernel paging request
« on: December 25, 2002, 12:37:54 AM »
This time i did search the forums first but came up with nothing. I just installed e-smith again. I had to leave home to do something so i just left it running after installed--it was all working just fine. However when i came home i get a thing that said it was entering run level 7 and "Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address 7f698ca4" and the screen is filled with other garbage. i tried rebooting but came up with the same thing. i can not switch to another console or do anything. Any help as to why this happened would be apreciated. It is no big deal if i have to install again, but i just want to know why this happened so i can prevent from happening in the future. THANKS

Andrew, I believe you lack BINS.

BINS = Basic Internet Navigational Skills.

Sorry,
I did however track the problem down to being a bad stick of memory
