Topic: Creating Links to Ibays

I have a user named "user1" and an Ibay named "user1Ibay", when i log inter FTP as user1, i get put into the users home directory. I want to create a shortcut or link to the user1Ibay, so that when a user using Internet Explorer for FTP they can navigate to their Ibay. I looked up and tried creating Hard links, and Symbolic Links, but never got them to work, the link would created, but double clicking on it would not go the the ibay.

If the user doesn't actually need to use his home directory you could add the FTP Chroot addon by dugnog.net, that will lock the user right into the Ibay instead of the home dir..  Do a search for FTP CHroot, it's been discussed before.

Thank you Terry--that is exactly what I want to do--I should have know to look on www.dugnog.net first--that is a very helpful site.
