Hi All
Yes i know this has been in before and i have found all the information on this site to configure and use webcal.
I have installed webcal and it comes up ok and i can create new web calandars without any problem, but i can never get in with the password that i have given it.
EG
Private webcal : ADSE Pass: adse (save settings)
Go back to the webcal font end and try to login, Nope cant get in.
I downloaded webcal_3.03.tar.gz from the webcal site and used tar -zxvf webcal_3.03.tar.gz to unzip it. I installed it and it loads up ok.
eg:
http://172.xxx.xxx.xxx/webcal/cgi-bin/webcal.cgiI installed the new rdb2flat.pl file as suggested, And made the manual changes suggested to 90e-smithAccess40ibays checked the syntax and it comes back as ok.
***********************************************************************************************
Below is the install path i chose as per instructions.
***********************************************************************************************./install.sh
Location of perl interpreter: /usr/bin/perl
User ID your web server is running under: www
Document Root for WebCal cgi's: /home/e-smith/files/ibays/webcal/cgi-bin
string to append to URL in order to reach cgi-bin dir: webcal/cgi-bin
Directory to store images needed: /home/e-smith/files/ibays/webcal/html/images
path to access these images from web server: /webcal/images
reminder script: Y
where to put the messaging script:/usr/bin
should i install the crontab entry for you to enable messaging: Y
database type :flat
where to store flat file databases: /home/e-smith/files/ibays/webcal/files
Checked that the above still worked all ok, but again i dont have any of the admin function and cant get in to any calandars i create.
I think one of my path statements are wrong can anyone spot anything here?
I have gone to where my database is stored and the .htpasswd file would appear to update correctly.
Note: everything on the server end is also setup ok can access everything.
hopefully someone can help
kindest regards
Adrian
