If the e-smith server is used strictly for file sharing via SAMBA, will extra RAM make a difference? What would be a recommended minimum if so?

If you install phpSysInfo, you can easily see how much RAM and swapfile is being used. The best answer is obviously going to be "watch your server and see if it needs it"...

Shad's sysmon module would probably be better as it keeps a history and shows graphs of usage/time and is good for monitoring cpu/ram/hdd/network/etc etc etc, thanks again for it Shad!
