Topic: postnuke installation

I am installing postnuke, but keep on getting an error when trying to create a database for mysql.  I get either unable to create database or
No database made.Error connecting to db
Program: /home/e-smith/files/ibays/nh/html/install/db.php - Line N.: 45
Database: Rogue
Error (1045) : Access denied for user: 'root@localhost' (Using password: NO)

Any help would be appreciated!!!!
