I've been having a recuring problem with guardian 1.0.2 on an SME 5.5 u2 install. Guardian seems to work well for a few hours to several days but then just seems to stop. The logs are updated with attack descriptions and blocks as appropriate. Looking at the firewall rules shows blocks are being added to ipchains correctly. And I get admin email with each new block added. But after a while the log entries just seem to stop. Old blocks don't expire. And I don't get any more admin emails. Running a ps -aux doesn't show guardian as running. I can't see anything in the logs that gives me any clue about what the problem is. Manually restarting guardian bring it back up but it stops again after a few hours or days. Any help would be appreciated.
