Topic: instaling a printer on my e-smith 5.5 ?

Hi there!

I want to install my HpDeskjet 720c printer on my e-smith 5.5 server & gateway machine... but how do i do this....
Where do i get the "driver" fore the printer, and so one.... ???

Hi,

To add the printer to the e-smith server, just add it through the web page.  It will then appear in your list of shares on the e-smith machine when viewing it through Windows.  No driver is needed on the e-smith server because it just sends the data to the printer - unlike other systems such as Cups.  You will need to then install the printer on your workstations, suplying the driver as required (I did this using another share) - also the users will need to have accounts on the e-smith server in order for them to print, and the passwords must match.
