ssh from windows client always fails
« on: March 20, 2003, 02:16:31 PM »
I've got a problem, one of my windows XP clients cannot ssh onto the SME server. It used to work fine & other XP boxes on my network work fine. I'm using putty as my SSH client. I keep getting connection refused. If I connect my XP laptop to the same network cable, I can ssh onto my server fine.

can anyone help me with this? I've searched the forums but to to avail. I'm having to telnet as root for the time being until I can get SSH to work again.

Hi,

This sounds like an XP problem - you haven't installed a firewall on the XP box have you?  Also, can you access other services of the server (imap / http / pop3 etc) from the XP box?
