dyndns

I just signed up for dynamic DNS services at dyndns.org. Now I'm trying to get the client that comes with e-smith to work. I can't use the control console for that because my system is configured for dialup-mode and that mode by default doesn't  support dyndns. Now, I suppose all I need to do is edit the master configuration file (/home/e-smith/configuration). If this is correct, could someone please tell me what the parameters should be. As far as I can tell there are 3 entries in /home/e-smith/configuration relating to dyndns. These are:
1. DynDnsAccount
2. DynDnsPassword
3. DynDnsService
Re 1: Do I append my account name to read xxx.dyndns.org or should I just put the first part? In the latter case, is any weird syntax required such as quotation marks?
Re 2: Quotation marks?
Re 3: I believe more than one client for dynamic DNS services is built into the e-smith server. Should I specify here that I use dyndns.org's services or are 'on' and 'off' the only values that this parameter takes?
TIA

As you correctly state, the e-smith system does not support dynamic DNS services in dialup mode. It is a feature which is on the TODO list for the server.

What I suggest that you do is post a message to the developers mailing list, devinfo@e-smith.net, and ask if anyone has developed this addition already, and failing that, ask for advice on how to go about it.
