i have installed SME fine and the first restart after installation has finished it comes up with this:

LI_

is something wrong? if so what?

That's supposed to be "LILO", the Linux Loader. Something is causing a problem so that it's stopping at the very beginning of booting up...

I had this problem a few years ago when I first started playing with e-smith.
The problem was that the hard drive I was installing to was set to slave instead of master.
The install went fine but when it came to the first reboot I was getting the same error.
