I am trying to put a webcounter on my page but the server requires Java Run time Enviroment to be running can you tell me where I can download it and make it a service that starts on start up

If you need Java integrated with E-Smith you should Checkout YES Server available from
http://youresale.com
. Java gets installed and configured right out of the box.

A couple of weeks ago I used this link, I do not know if it still is the latest version, but should do the trick:
