Topic: server console problem

I'm attempting to change the network confiuration of my SME server via the server console

Networking Parameters
Server Mode serveronly
Local IP address / subnet mask 10.0.0.250/255.255.255.0
Gateway 10.0.0.254
Additional local networks No additional networks defined
DHCP server disabled
Server names
DNS server 10.0.0.250

now the dns server is wrong (and hense I'm getting no incoming e-mail)

if I try to change it to either nothing or 10.0.0.254 (the address of my router)

its not changing

I've downloaded all the updates on the mitel ftp server and I think I've updated everything correctly.

still it doesn't update

any suggestions?

In time honoured fashion I fixed it myself,

I had to change the server ip itself before the dns records would update, reboot, reset the ip back to the original with the updated dns resolver, reboot again and then everything was A OK.
