Topic: Sending mail through IMP

Lately when sending mail using webmail, I get a "server cannot be found" screen after I click send.  If I hit refresh, the compose window comes back.  If I check in the sent items, nothing has been sent.  Is there a fix for this?  Could it be a network card issue?
