They've been having these problems for days now. Not sure what's going on but I would bet it's got to do with them getting ready for 4.0.
Any thoughts?

Hello all,

Let me send a micro-update so you're not all guessing! You're correct that this has to do with the release of e-smith 4.0.  Over the last three months, we've moved the business from a home (running on used 486 and old Pentium boxes) into office space (with two intermediate moves as the company was growing and waiting for our final office space to be ready).

With the release of e-smith 4.0 we're using new systems, new hardware, new network architecture, and new staff. Naturally there have been some setbacks as the occasional problem is found.

We hope to have everything back online by the end of today.  The good news is that instead of a Pentium-90 on a cablemodem, our new FTP server is a dual Pentium-700 machine on a 100 Mb link - so you should have great FTP performance once we get up and running.
