Topic: Can not access e-smith configeration files

For some Reason I can not access the webconfigeration files no more they just stopped working I need access them what can I do?

If anyone can help thanks the ones I mean are like http://www.yourdomain.com/e-smith-manager

You should eb able to get at it using your IP address, I've been using this method ever since the first couple of times I had the same problem. It has worked every time.
Example: 192.168.1.1/e-smith-manager

I have tried it that way and it still don't work using http://x.x.x.x/e-smith-manager

The only thing I can think of is that your network is set up incorrectly. Are you using two nic cards? Checked them both? Checked your cables? Not being an ass, just trying to figure out what's been checked and what hasn't. Which version of e-smith?

I have one nic card I am serving domain names on it all that stuff works it just all of a suddin stop working I am using 4.0 b10 it is like I don't have access to them?

I'm not going to be much help. Same thing happened to me just before I started using the IP. The only way I fixed it was to start from scratch. Do you have it backed up?

Thanks I am going to see if anyone on here has anymore Ideas to see what it would be I think it started after the power went off the one time and was not shut down right. I am pretty sure that was it because I had a VD stop working on me that way to so i had to reload it

You should be using http://www.e-smith.yourdomain.com/e-smith-manager/.

Hi,
I tried that also ....
eg 192.168.1.1/e-smith etc etc etc ...
works fine locally ..
but from the internet (obviously) NOT ... (i have a domain from TZO ) ..eg myname.tzo.com THAT wont work ... but .... e-smith.myname.tzo.com WILL !!

Try adding the esmith name to the front ..
Worked for me ..might for you !
