All done & no change, still cant \servername or \ipadress but can ping servername and ipadress, and
http://servername/servermanager http://ipadress/server-manager work. Nothing in Network folders under workgroup. And still cant join the domain:
"A domain controller for the domain could not be contacted.
Ensure that the domain name is typed correctly."

I have tried various things mentioned in other posts to do with acess to workgroup/domian:
- Rename the PC to a user on the SME box.
- Ensure no peer-peer shares on the PC.
- Upgrade samba on the SME box.
- Rename the workgroup to ALLCAPS on PC and SME boxes.
- Ensure that only TCPIP on the network.
- Registry changes from Samba upgrade HOWTO.
Please send more advise.
