PPPoE Connections

Hi,

Tried to setup the e-smith server onto the internet today without success.  The NICc's flashing lights indicated a connection to the internet but I cuoldn't achieve a successfull connection.  The following logged:

Can anyone offer any advice as to how I can proceed to trying to figure out what the problem actually is?

The one time I saw this was when I was trying to setup a SME server on Ozemail ADSL (which is PPPoA) using a bridged Router. It never did work properly.

What are you using? A Modem or Bridged Router because the Modem should work straight away. If you want to stay with the bridged Router change to TPG. Easy.

we are running a Dlink 300+ Bridged modem on SME5.5 connected to a 3com network card and we are using PPoE over ethernet and . 100 Email addresses and internet sharing for 30 pcs and it all works fine. Id be happy to help you if you need it. Long live SME
