Topic: Nut on 5.5?

Hi All,
Has any one tried installing NUT on SME 5.5? I have tested my USB UPS on a test server with 5.6u4 installed and found NUT works OK but my main server is still 5.5u6 and I don't want to upgrade due to the VPN issues in 5.6 so I was wondering if anyone had installed NUT on SME5.5. Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

Theoretically it should work, although I am only speculating.
The sme configuration database may be an issue if there are any differences between 5.5 and 5.6 (That I am not sure about).

There were some posts on these forums about the configuration command, do a search.

Try installing the rpms and let us know how it goes.

Hi Ray,
Yes, but this was on SME5.6, I was going to upgrade my 5.5 server after I got this working on 5.6 but I had problems with VPN on 5.6 and decided to stick with 5.5 which of course doesn't have NUT installed.
