Hi,

I try to do some basic thing, like deploying content in an i-bay and publish it over the internet

Could someone confirm me this

HTML - is where I put most of my html files
CGI-BIN - is where I put my cgi bin files
Files - is where I would put my files for samba access

right?

and to access this ebay through web, I have to go to http://ibayname@domainnameoripaddress

From server-manger, I did create a group named helpdesk and then setup my first ibay with

Description  
Groupe  = helpdesk
User Acces write=group and read= everyone
Web acces from everywhere no password
CGI, PHP, SSI = enable




Inside the ibay cgi-bin, i put my install.cgi script (chmod 755 install.cgi)
the owner and group are equal as the ibay.

What do I miss to get this install.cgi in my browser, I can see the index.html (under construction) for this ibay

To call the cgi script use http://domainnameoripaddress/ibayname/cgi-bin/install.cgi

Hi Terry,

Now, with your path, I went through the installl.cgi, also I did create my mysql database, and privilege user account through phpmyadmin

Seems cool!

I will post question in regard of perldesk 1.8 vs SME 5.6.

I do not know how to set the mail setting side of it, do I have to create username account for all incoming email address? or do I have to pipe them via an alias?. If so, I need to find the way to do it.
