Hi,

I've just installed a clean version of 4.0b8 (I thought I was installing the final release but my login prompt tells me otherwise.. oh well...) and would like setup diald in a similar fashion to my 3+ installation.

Through a rough stab and pick through various files I've been able to get a very rough idea of how the new system works but I'm still feeling a little nervous about actually editing the files. (Not through a lack of Perl grok though)

I know about .../etc/diald.filter/template.start and what it does. The question is what calls this template and from where does it read the 'profile' setting originally?

If somebody could point me to the correct files so that I may:
 - Create a new diald 'profile'
 - Set this 'profile' to be 'active'
 - And tell E-Smith to update itself with the new details.

"And what is this profile?" you ask.

Its an easy one. I would like my server to be 'up' from 6:30am - 11:00pm and 'down' otherwise.

Any help would be gratefully grovelled,
Luke. ( Not to be confused with any other 'Lukes' posted here. )

You need to make some changes in /etc/e-smith/templates/etc/diald.filter/template-begin:

Change "8:00:00 17:59:59" to "6:30:00 22:59:59" and also make the appropriate changes where you see "7:59:59" and "18:00:00" elsewhere in that file.
