Delete unwanted emails
« on: July 31, 2003, 05:19:25 PM »
I want to add the option to mywebconsole to delete all messages that come in to unknown users instead of forwarding them to an account or sending a reply to the send say the account does not exist.  Since my domain name is used by people who dont want to put thier real email address I get about 50-100 emails a day that are to unknown accounts and when the machine sends the reply i get a reply from the server that sent them to me that the addresses are not valid.  (flippen spam).  Anyways if i dont check the admin email on a weekly basis it starts to kill my hard drive space becuase i have like 900-1500 email on that account after one week 895-1495 are returned unknown user emails.  So to stop this I want to just deleted the message if it is to an unknown user and not send a reply to the sender about the account not being active.

Can anyone help this has been plaguing me for months.  I have asked before but did not word it right I think becuase no one understood my issue.

PS I am running 6.0b.

Thanks in advance,

Ian
