webmail expires and other woes..
« on: September 03, 2003, 06:00:21 AM »
"Your Mail session has expired. Please login again."
That's the message i get at the login screen immediately after logging in.  I'm very confused.  I also have some problems with the server-manager.  I see the right and left frames initially, but when i click on anything it tells me in the right frame that it's misconfigured and that there's been an internal server error.  It's been working for months now without issue, and i have a very strong root password that would survive any dictionary-type or brute force attack.  I'm very very confused.
Did I say i'm on 5.6?  and confused?

dunno if it might apply in this case but certainly Twiggi has an issue if the date/time on your server are different from the settings on the clients. Might be worth checking both are running on the same date and within a few minutes in terms of the current time.

I am having the exact same problem you describe.  Did you find a solution?  I upgraded from 5.5 to 5.6 hoping this would fix the problem, but no dice.

Never mind.  I found the answer here.  Thanks Darryl.  You're a lifesaver as usual.

webmail imap expired, server manager internal server error

hello,

have the same exact situation as 'bhsx's posting at the top. i did some digging last night here, but did not find anything with the keywords i was searching, and so was concerned that i had run into something no one else has so far...

then after getting more errors, and searching again, i found this thread, thank goodness...and a fix, it seems! hooray.

since yesterday, our staff can no longer use webmail, as immediately after login, it says 'mail session expired. please login again'.

also after logging into server manager, no options work, everything is 'internal server error'.

followed the discussion link to webcal reset /tmp directory command but that did not work it seems, as we still cannot use webmail or server manager.
btw, we are not using webcal, nor is it installed.

the fix seems to have worked for others, as they have posted thanks, but after connecting to our local server (192.168.1.1) with putty ssh client and running the reset command, and then rebooting, it still is down.

one thing that we do have setup is that we have 2 domains pointing to our server so that we can receive email for each staff member in the same mailbox. is my problem that there may be more /tmp directories i need to clear?

we have a staff member in europe right now and he depends on webmail and he's stuck!

thanks!

I've got the exact same problem, started from one moment to another. Didn't install anything lately and the "temp dir fix" didn't work also...

Anyone???

[edit]
Looks like something goes wrong with squid also, I couldn't browse the internet from my lan, disabled squid and the problem is gone. Other problem still same...
