Topic: oidentd??

hi

is it just me or is there someone like me that cant get oidentd /identd to work?

my problem is that when i use irc i get like ~nick@host now i wanna get rid of the ~ so it gonna be nick@host

i have searched meny sites but still found nothing and i have read the oidentd help / faq but non of that helped.

my connection is like this : internet router server client it have worked before that time i didnt go trugh the server so it have to be a error in there.

any help i can get is werry welcome.

i forgot to mention that im using SME 5.6 and that the router is configured to point at the server with port 113 but ts like it wont let it trugh.

Look at the 'messages' log on your SME box and see if there's any entries for identd. They should provide a bit of a clue about the source of the problem.

There are several threads in this forum discussing this issue but they may not specificly cover 5.6 and they cover identd genericly rather than specify oidentd.
