Packet loss

G'day All,

I had a 5.1.2 box which served me well (pardon the pun) for some time. Recently I had to give the box back to the mate I borrowed it from but I kept the HDD, NICs processor (P-200) and RAM and put these into another old box I had around and the system rebooted and all was well.

In the last 24 hours (the box has been up for 22 days) the system monitor (eneo-sysmon-3.0-16) reports 100% packet loss (gateway).

With the exception that my cable modem activity light is permanently lit there seems to be no other problem. My ISP does not report an increase in usage, internat access is unaffected and the system logs show no unusual activity.

Can anyone shed any light on what might be happening? Should I be concerned even though everything seems to be working?
