6b3 install problem

Not sure if this is a bug or not, but I'll ask you all first.

I am going through the process of installing SME on some older boxes to take up the task of some general serving duties (mail, web, internal file server...). I have decided to use the latest beta, so I will possibly save an upgrade when the final is released and so I can provide feedback to the developers.

Anyways, I'm installing this on a P2 350 (Dechutes core) with 96mb of ram, origonal PCI TNT graphics card, a 9.1gb hdd and a 80gb hdd (attached to an ATA-133 controller). When I boot off the CD, it gives me this error:

Running anaconda - please wait...
Traceback (innermost last):
    File "/usr/bin/anaconda", line 67, in?
        import dispatch
    File "/usr/lib/anaconda/dispatch.py", line 19, in?
        from packages import readPackages, check Dependencies, doInstall
    File "/usr/lib/anaconda/packages.py", line 25, in?
        import fsset
    File "/usr/lib/anaconda/fsset", line 21, in?
        import parted
ImportError: /usr/lib/libparted-1.4.so.14: cannot read file data: Is a directory
install exited abnormally
sending kill signals...done

...

It proceeds to shut down and eject the CD for me. I have tried multiple times, and even downloaded/burned a new copy. What could be wrong? Installing 5.6 seems to work fine, so I think I'll install it and then attempt updating.

What do you think?

Oh, well, 5.6 was installing just fine, then I decided to try 6b3 one more time so I could record the error message for ya all, and now 5.6 isn't working any more. I'm going to try swapping out CD-ROM drives before I try doing anything else...

Just ignore me, fixed it by replacing the CD drive...

Obviously it was not liking my ancient HP CD-RW 2x drive, possibly an incompatibility issue there?

Eh, the machine won't need a CD-ROM after I install it anyways, so it doesn't matter.

Very sorry to bother you all, I'm just talking to myself here :)

Unfortunately, CD "standards" are somewhat weak, and the variations in drives and burners are most annoying. I'm glad you got it working.
