root hostname

Hi,
I just upgraded to 5.6 from 5.5 but I notice I no longer have control of the root hostname and as such it will not go to the correct ibay. Is there anyway to add this back?

eg
If I use "virtualsite.com" it should point to the virtualsite ibay (this is what I want) but now virtualsite.com will go back to the primarysite.com.

if I type www.virtualsite.com it will go to the correct ibay.

I have looked at the Hostname and addresses configuration but there is no root hostname :(

At the moment I have put in http redirects but this isn't a very elegant solution.

Is anyone else having this problem? I have searched through the database but have found no other reference.

I've re created the ibays and every time I will always get www.domain.com where as I want also domain.com.

No, I'm not having that problem--didn't have it under 5.6, and am not now having it under 6.0, neither from the LAN nor from the internet.  Not too helpful, perhaps, but at least you know it isn't designed to work that way...
