I have a SME box using v6.03 with current updates.
I want to connect from a seperate network to computers(XP Pro) behind the SME box, using VPN. I can get a connection to the SME server, but can get no further.

I've prowled the search stuff and can't find the info I need.

What do I need to do to be able to see the computers on the network behind the SME box from a seperate network?

It seems these VPN connections are very sensitive to the properties of your Windows box's connectoid.  Check your advanced TCP/IP properties and make sure you've set a WINS server.

Thanks for your suggestion. What computer do I use for the WINS server? Do I use the SME box, a server in the network the XP box is on, or a computer on the network the SME box is hooked to?

Of course you will need to determine the IP of each remote workstation you wish to connect to, using winipcfg or ipconfig (or ipconfig /all).
