Virtual Domains

I loaded DEV 6beta3 and when I create virtual domains and try to access from the outside they always bring up my primary site infoemation and web page, I have created i-bays for the Virtual Domains and pointed the virtual domain to that i-bay but it still pulls up the primary website html pages. any suggestions

You don't mention if you applied the Updates.

There is a fix for your problem mentioned in the updates I believe.

I ran all available updates and played around a bit and for reasons unknown, it started resolving correctly after a couple reboots after displaying the symptoms you mentioned (resolving to Primary rather than the virtual).  All I did was remove the www. prefix from the ibay description in httpd.conf if I recall correctly

I'm having a similar problem, but applying all the updates didn't seem to do me any good. In fact, the next time I rebooted the server, it crashed, and I was forced to reboot it again.

It is working after another reboot, but the virtual domains are still pointing at the primary ibay. Which RPM is supposed to solve the virtual domain problem?

I grabbed all from here.
http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/e-smith/dev/6.0dev/updates/6.0beta3/RPMS/
rpm -Uvh *

User access via file sharing or user ftp: write group, read everyone
Public access via web or anonymous ftp: entire internet

then I hammered it and reboot a few times and all of a sudden, it started working.

Go figure...

ok guys its all working now. All i did was delete the virtual domain and then created it again and it worked.

so i guess the virtual domain should be created after the updates are installed.

Did you check my last post?  regarding e-bay settings?  Not sure WHAT I did but mine is definitely working now.  And I downloaded the whole group of updates and ran them all at once; rpm -Uvh *

Good Luck

This has been a persistant issue if you browse the forums;  I think Gasper finally hit the nail on the head!

If you run the post-update command and then reboot as the readme file on that FTP server says, it should work just fine, did for me ;)

But who ever reads the "readmes" anyways? :p
