Topic: Backups using Backup2ws

Hello,

I am very new to SME. I just loaded backup2ws and my first backup was 26G. My question -- what exactly should I be backing up? For example, /home,/root etc?. Not knowing, I backed up the whole system and it took forever, over a day.

Please advise.

Enable the disaster recovery backup (911) job.
That has all the info you would need to recreate your system on a freshly installed OS, plus of course install any additional rpms you had installed.

And if you really rely on the backup for mission critical situation, run through the restore procedure and prove it all works on a test server.
