user-manager ?
« on: November 04, 2003, 02:06:49 AM »
Hi There!

I have been running 5.5 about 1/2 year, and for about 14 days ago i switch to a new server with 5.6 on, and nearly everything works fine...
But i can't access the https://domain.tld/user-manager
I have enabled public ssh access to the server, and every sttings in this arrea are the same as on the 5.5 (witch it worked fine on)

When i'm on the local net and enter the https://domain.tld/user-manager i get in fine, it's just when i am at home and trye's to access it i can't get throug

The 5.6 acts as server ONLY but port 443 are open for both incomming and outgoing trafic in our d-link router/firewall

Is there somthing changed for 5.5 to 5.6 regarding this pannel and/or the port it is using ??

Try adding your home network in Server Manager's Remote access panel.  Click on Remote access and add your Network and Subnet mask.  To allow access from all networks add 0.0.0.0 as your network and subnet mask.

hmm i have now added a host vith "0.0.0.0" and the same in the subnetmask field, under the remote access.... but still no luck to get in :-(

But i have found this in the httpd/error_log

[Tue Nov  4 19:00:46 2003] [error] [client 80.62.xxx.xxx] client denied by server configuration: /etc/httpd/conf/proxy/proxy.pac
[Tue Nov  4 19:03:44 2003] [error] [client 80.164.x.x] client denied by server configuration: proxy:http://127.0.0.1:980/server-manager/
[Tue Nov  4 19:03:54 2003] [error] [client 80.164.x.x] client denied by server configuration: proxy:http://127.0.0.1:980/user-manager/
[Tue Nov  4 19:04:11 2003] [error] [client 80.164.x.x] client denied by server configuration: proxy:http://127.0.0.1:980/user-manager/

The ip 80.62.xxx.xxx is our external ip adress

and the ip 80.164.x.x is the ip i have had at the time trying to access the user-manager from my home.....

Is it a problem with the proxy at the server, or ???

I am having the same issue with 6.03b version. Here are the modications so far:
I used the updater from leiinc.com
(wget http://www.leiinc.com/repository/Linux/Mitel_SME_Server/Updates/SME6b3/update.pl
 perl update.pl

Then I added the userpanel rpm from contribs.org
Then the lprng rpm, then the ppp-mppe (2.4.2).

I also added a specific ip address to the remote networks table and used 255.255.255.0 for the sub-mask.

I am able to access the server-manager just fine.
When I try to access https://mydom.com/user-manger, I am told I am dot authorized (error 403 forbidden).

Please somebody hep me!!

I got the exact same problem.

I would be very happy if someone could fix this problem.
