Topic: remote access

I would like to load SSH on an e-smith server and then setup VPN to tunnel into Work sStations behind the firewall. I was able to load SSH but was never able to logon to it to use VPN. If anyone has been sucessful in setting up remote access capabilities using the tools mentioned above or others, please let me know. Thank in advance for aany ideas.

Hi Gerald!

Thanks for the post!  Have you enabled "sshd" in the TCP wrappers (/etc/hosts.allow) file?  If that's the problem, remember to update the template

/etc/e-smith/templates/etc/hosts.allow

and then update the real file by executing

/sbin/e-smith/signal-event manager-misc
