Running separate servers as proxy and webmail

Is it possible to run 2 separate e-smith servers?  I've just put Horde live throughout this school, and it's killing the server.  There is an additional old server that I could rehash to become a Horde server, but I don't know whether e-smith will like running proxy separate from Horde.  New to e-smith, so I don't want to migrate mail onto another server, and completely mess up the kids Internet connection!
Any help would be most appreciated!

Possible, but the real difficulty is in keeping data in sync between the two servers. It depends on how you're going to use them.

In the simple case, you can manually repeat steps on both servers. Add a user on one, add it on the other, but that's ugly. There may be HOWTOs and such at contribs.org to aid in this. We don't officially support mirroring between servers at this time.
